Description
This is a watercolor on rice paper I made earlier today. It's supposed to be an Orchid, using Chinese-style technique and brush strokes I'm beginning to learn. It is one of the four Gentlemen, the Orchid, the Bamboo is another, Plum Tree another, and I forget the fourth. Some sort of flower or bush. Just thought I'd mention this signifigance, but you prob. already know. If only I could apply the four gentlemen in my own life...then I could really be cool!
This painting is at least twice the length of my Canon Canonscan Platten, so I scanned the top and bottom in two seperate passes, and re-spliced with in Photoshop. I cloned out a few of the more dark scan-induced smudges, but did not alter the purple painting.
Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)
