Cancer that eats me, Slowly from inside to out. It started so small, A minute charcoal spot. Whimpering to be freed, A cage of light, A depressing thing. Pouring through the cracks created, Myself, the stranger, Grasping, clinging to anything genuine, I find my solace in no other. Very descriptive as you slice through the cancer of which you speak, sapping out the very core of your self in the words that youve written. Is the cancer you talk of a love or a fear? Both can keep you waiting and hoping. I love the description you use here. Excellent verse.
