Description

Incoming report by our Deep Space Exploration team in the θ-Lyrae system: "...during standard scans of the second planet of θ - Lyrae we discovered a civilisation on it, as well as a big variety of plant and animal life. The civilisation seems to have made the progress to iron age lately, as their cities are still small, but display a high level of architecture. More intriguing are vast dark green formations stretching dozens of miles across the surface. According to our scans those formations seem to be alive! Some fungi-like lifeform..." "... two after landing we were able to establish first contact with the intelligent life form. This turned out to be very difficult as our translation device is still processing only 83% of their language..." "... the locals call those vast fungi the "emerald mazes", but they don't know much about them. They seem to fear them. Their Healers sometimes go there to collect some plants or fungi dwelling there for their potions. But they never venture very deep into the maze. There are stories about some who dared to go deeper into the areas which are always in the shadows, but none of them has ever returned. It is said, that the Maze itself consumed them. Well, scanning those areas from space yielded the disturbing absence of any animal life near them. Maybe they produce some poisonous gas to protect them from animals. A science team left three days ago..." My comments: Well, I finally found some time, to do a render again and spend some time here a ReRo :o) TERRAIN: Terrain created with Terrabrush I hope you like this one. Comments, critics and/or advise is (as always ;) very welcome. Thanks for viewing and merry X-Mas and a happy new year to everyone!!!! Matthias
