Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Nice work... Interestng how you've lined up the branches with leaves so they show up with the sky. Nice work.

these trees don't feel lifeless to me; on the contrary...this place....reminds me of the dunes in Alabama. you probably are shaking your head...wondering how that could be. i'll have to upload that image. maybe you'll see the connection. this place is very inviting, and i love the shimmering copper and gold tones. there's much to explore here. Fantastic scene scene and capture, Jan-Carel!!!! love the clear blue sky too!

Awsome! I agree with rufous, come back when they have a blanket of snow, I'd love to see a comparision shot. As for this one, great light and detail...seems sorta wispy and dreamlike. Thanks as always for posting your wonderful photos.

Last performance of these tree's as they FALL to WINTER. But there is one tree on the right, he seems to think different and remains colorful green. "Resistant to Winter" is in his thoughts. Beautiful capture. Aloha

Alas, the white birches around here are now naked. Stunning capture of the beauty of autumn.
bleachfix
We don't have many birches here in Tennessee, not cold enough climate for them to grow naturally, but it is one of my favorite trees! Thanks for capturing this and sharing!
