Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

this one...agree with fruit passion...magic! children in the trees...dancing, blowing. they will all eventually fall, but it'll be a slow, easy drifting down to settle on the ground...rest until spring! this one...i look at it and first thing i see is 3 crosses. calvary. perfect Christmas image to remind me of true meaning of Christmas...Christ coming to take on our sins...offering us eternal life. i see hands in prayer in the shadows. thank you for this!! Fantastic photo...luv the contrasts of blue/yellow, as well as lighting and shadows!vote!

The brown branches are essentials to throw into relief the yellow foliage. And to continue the symbolic with children, branches like arms would be the dear parents. The resurrection at spring is tied with death in fall. Excellent picture!

A shower of brazen/golden coins, Jan-Carel. I can see Sheila's crosses too. I may use something like it in my first attempt at painted glass. My brother presented me with a calendar for 2005. He used some of his watercolour paintings, scanned in and reduced to less than A4. I must try some hands on art again, rather than using stylus and tablet on my old computer. Nature inspires us all. Your photos are the result of great observation of the works of God. Keep snapping in 2005. Best wishes, John.

Like yellow lanterns hanging from the branches. The backlighting really makes the leaves glow, what a brilliant capture! Gorgeous =)
