Description

When you came, You were so full of life, So joyful, So proud, So loving. You hid the pain like it was just a whisper in your ear. No one else saw it. It was your little secret. You taught me to love, To share myself like an open book, To welcome shared love like a lost friend in the cold, dark night. Life's most valued lessons were from your lips. It ate through you like you were nothing at all. Breathing became a chore, a struggle. No more laughter, No smiles, No hugs. I held your hand in mine, tighter than normal. Your eyes were so empty, so cold. "I love you," I whispered in your ear. "I'll see you soon." Tears streamed down your face, you blinked, But never opened your eyes again... Rest In Peace, my dear Brother. I wrote this about a friend who came to live with me when he was dying of cancer. Let me know what you think.

Your emotions, at the loss of a loved one, are shown with excellent writing. Take comfort that your friend is still there.

"I wrote this about a friend who came to live with me when he was dying of cancer. Let me know what you think." -- sounds like your friend was lucky to have you as his friend. Excellent tribute piece.

Very touching piece. Your friend was lucky to have a caring, loving friend like you to in his last days. You were lucky to have a friend like him with such courage, strength and grace he taught you to live and love.
