Description

This is the continuing series of "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan. I decided to do them all as woodburnings, so there will be some repeats along the way. The painting...referenced from the original illustration by George Woolliscroft, Frederick Rhead and Louis Rhead. They will not be in order as I first thought, at least not some of them. Here Christian and Hopeful have finally found the City of God. It is within there grasp. The beauty of the City was overwhelming leaving them almost faint with the sight. I wanted to leave this particular painting with you all today because it shows the Hope of what lies ahead. It is within our sight. God bless you all! Have a Happy New Year! All my love...Cheryl

A little note... One of the things I have noticed when uploading woodburnings is that there are white spots that seem to be present in the scan of the plaque that are not visible on the woodburning I have in front of me. This seems to be a problem with alot of the woodburnings I have seen on many websites. I do not know as yet how to correct it.

WHAT DETAILS!!!! Beautiful, painstaking work! For some reason, when I looked at this, I thought how wonderful it would be to see an entire Cheryl Lavender wood-burned set of Tarot cards! Now that would be unique (might take forever, though!)
