Description

The Ultra Fractal greenhouse laboratory released this photo today. The brand new hybrid "Doognarlydad" is thanks to a combined effort by Mark Townsend of Gnarl fame and Dennis Magar who brought Doodads into the equation. Scientists and flourists alike are applauding the efforts of these two dedicated and talented men. The "Doognarlydad" does well in gardens with a Southern exposure where they can develop strong stalks by turning their heads from East to West to follow the sun throughout the day. Expect to find them at better nurseries and greenhouses this spring.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.... lol!

This was alot of fun... three layers of gnarl treated to doodads and another layer for the frame. Sig in PSP7. As always, thanks for having a look at this and for the gracious comments you guys have left under my previously uploaded stuff. Hugs to all of you! :) Helen

That is such a cool gnarly fractal. Did you make those shadows, or did they come with it? :)

Thanks, Mary... :) The shadows were a result of the masks I used to delete the bottom section of the green "leaves". I was going to attempt to get rid of them but they seemed to work okay in this image. Good thing, too... cuz I'm not sure I could have "fixed" them... lol! :) Helen

LOL at the fantastic name! Pleased to learn about this phenomenal "hybrid." A wonderful combo of formula and coloring algorithms. Fun and elegant at once..and wonderfully dynamic. Beautiful, excellent work, my friend, and a fine tribute to two fine formula writers and artists.
