Description

4 Adjustment-class assault carriers side by side with an Imperial II stardestroyer. Now it is nearly done! Only some details still missing, but nothing that would be visible from the distance. The Adjustment-class assault carrier is equipped with 35 light quad-laser turrets, 2 heavy quad-laser turrets, 16 proton torpeto / concussion missile launchers and 6 medium turbolaser batteries. Secondary equipment includes 2 light gravitywells, heavy pursuit tractorbeams and high resolution long range sensors. That makes the Adjustment-class assault carrier a deadly opponent for enemy fighters and picket ships up to corvette size, but it

Yay! A ton of Fighters swarming around those five Capships if they launch their freight. Nice Work anyway. A bit more details to the Bridge Section and it'll be fine.

All 5 ships together could launch 312 fighters... Yes, that would be a hell of a swarm. Although I dont think my CPU could render that. g

Wow, a lot of detail there! Excellent job, appears very much like the Star Wars films! My only critique (and I may have said this before) is to lower the depth of field blur, it makes it look more small scale. But still excellent!

I know. I blurred out the background to put more fokus on the front carrier. Perhaps not the best way to do so, but I dont know of many more that dont look strange as well. ^_^*

Well, it IS small compared to the Imperator-class stardestroyer, so I really like the depth blur effect! The ship rocks! :D

this is an awsome image. Though the DOField comment is correct. Everything in this scene would fall beyond the infinite focus range, so nothing should be out of focus if you were trying to obtain a realistic image. Try varied lighting to help seperate things a little. Great work . keep it up!

Truly impressive... I can almost hear the strains of the "Imperial Theme" playing in the background as the roar of the TIE fighters punctuates the dread rumble of the capital ships. A bit too much DOF... but nothing to complain about at all.

Wow !!! What an excellent presentation of a truly fantastic design. That is a terrific ship, one worthy of even GL's attentions. Impreesive attention to detail, and even the fluff text for it is great. More, more, more.....

Thanks. Next things to be done will be some details to bridge and close-up hull. Then I will do the hangar interior. Perhaps I can spare some time to render an animation of sorts.

Very nice! Love it! That can fit right in with the SW universe. I agree with Novakog and others on the issue of the DoF. As it is right now it makes the carriers and fighters look like toys. That's a peculiar thing about DoF, too much and your objects look like tiny toys, not enough and it looks way too static. Also at the present DoF it's hard to tell relative size of the assault ships compared to that Star Destroyer in the back. Other than DoF it's great! maybe some planet behind the scene too. :)

Like I said: Next time I will spend more care on the DoF. Guaranteed! g About the planet: Next time. And just to repeat it: The Adjustment IS a toy and really small besides an Imperator class. But thats an excuse, I must admit. ;P

I just had a scary image in my mind. Just think one minute you are a pirat/privateer and they're coming after you. EEEK! ;-)

Could be gerat, but blur is not for such scenes - you should use blur obly for microscenes - you never get blur in such great scale :-(

Okay... Thanks for all the comments, but please NO MORE COMMENTS abouts the DoF blur. Its getting the style of a Monthy Python sketch. Jesus... g

one thing I love about this is your application of texturing. It is good to see someone who has taken the time to ad detail to a ship like this.
