Description

Looking a bit more to the left we can see the mountains of the Bernese Oberland with many tops about 4000 meter (12000 feet) high. It's very impressive to see these mountains on this distance (approximately 160 km, 100 miles) as little wrinkles in the crust of the earth. The sparkles are intriguing. New ice has come to hide the crowd. Photography has its own challenges on the slippery slope. Film doesn't freeze but LCD's do.

I like the way the railing(?) and road trail are dwarfed in the middle foreground. No footprints or other marks in the snow add so much to the whole mood. Great work!

totally stunning! clouds in the background look like huge waterfall...the Grand Canyon! the clouds closer...hazy, drifting...just so special. subtle pastels...sigh that stump...good place to put seeds for birds. i look at sparkles in the snow. i like them. helluva capture...agree...a masterpiece!! vote! oh...just noticing those subtle sunbeams. awesome! why do i feel like a rainbow will appear here soon?
