As there is as much beauty in this image, there is also sadness. The remains of the structures decaying off in the distance - the earth reclaiming her rightful inheritance, the dash of colour the flowers give in the foreground reminds us that life is hard but beautiful. They grow in a harsh and rugged environment, while the pounding of the surf below challenges us daily to life's struggles. There are many lessons brought forth in this loving image.
