Description

The cops down at the police station were pretty nice. No one actually saw you shoot those cars up, but a few neighbors suspected it might you. They gave you doughnuts, but you refused the coffee, hoping to get a chance to sleep when you got home. By the time your head hit the pillow again, it was all a long waking nightmare and you lay there praying for sleep. Then it finally happened. You fell asleep! It was 5:59am........ 6:00am *radio alarm goes off*. "Wake up Sleepyheads! It's a beautiful Monday morning out there and time to get up and get going!" As your right eye pops open, the sun bursts in the window and you remember that performance review that you're getting at work today. Your fingers touch the cold barrel of your shotgun and you wonder if it would be best to..... naw. If you just get up and take a spoonful of instant coffee and a swig of whiskey for breakfast, that should help. Just then, a cute little bluebird lands on the window sill and seranades you. You slowly pick up the gun. BOOM! *** The last in a short series about a very long night. No, it wasn't suicide.

Ahhhh finally. Sometimes morning can be the greatest relief after a night like that. Excellent work as always. This has been a wonderful series. Thanks!
