Description

Did this last week while experimenting with mapping modes AND after reading the "What is art?" thread in the Bryce Forum. What is art? If 532 handpainted scientifically arranged bowling balls isn't art, then I don't know what is. photo textures from animax Please take this with a bit of sarcasm ;) *** explanation: Using World Top mode with an image, you have to adjust scale, rotation and offset quite a bit to fit the image to whatever your applying it to. The scale on this is x= -3.5%, y= -2% and z= -4.3%. I used the preview window in the material lab, set to "actual selection"(grouped spheres).

That really is rather clever. Not sure how you did it. But it's cool. No one in real life would do that. They would be crazy. Then again, maybe they would.

Fantastic work of... ah, art? How do we know they are bowling balls? Where are the 3 little holes! Anyway, very clever and great work.

Excellent and imaginative depiction of the Mona: I would certainly go and view this if exhibited in the Tate Modern in London.

I see you've taken the first cue shot. Excellent application of the mapping mode... Just one question or comment, I'm guessing the balls outside of the image box would or could tile the world texture, but seems you've not enabled tiling and/or set their textures independently. I gotta say that's the correct number of balls too, 532! just the right amount of breakup.
