A real heart felt image that has revived many of the fellings that follow the wake of September 11. Thank you for sharing and good job!!

In a few days they will end the search at WTC. Odds are we won't find my cousin. Looking back here and reading through the comments of that day reminds me of the comfort offered by the world. Thank you.

that render is gay! it looks like you just combined a number of pre-fabricated models and put the scene together. those buildings look nothing like the wtc.

I think poor Cody and his tail has missed the whole point! Oh well. It's been almost a year since September 11, 2001. A day we will never forget and should never forget. I hope this image reminds us always.

I agree. Poor Cody. Doesn't think of what's behind the tears, or what's in all of our hearts. Good luck to the peacemakers in this world. Good luck to us all. Thank you missy, its a beautiful tribute. Peace.

Strangely the humanity to be able of much badness as is only able the monster, equally it can be able of sublime and just motivations. Therefore like sublime being this page, that it expresses with force the idea of what we try within of we for how much being happened. Thanks also from Italy, OOh Betty! Alien3000

I was at school when this happened... I never thought it would happen, god I hope it never happens. The world seemed to stop around you and everyone's eyes were on the tv. Watching the planes hit the towers, watching them colasp... knowing that members of YOUR OWN Family were in those buildings, changes your life forever.... I've been there... I don't want to ever be there again... please god, don't let so many people die again for nothing... please don't let it happen in any country... goes into prayer thank you so much for this picture... nearly a year later I look on it, and I cry... thank you for reminding me. huggles thank you.

Here I am, sitting 2 days before the aniversary of that fateful day, a day that will go down in history. How many lives were shattered that day, how many dreams and ambitions blew away in the wind that carried off the smoke. Although I wasn't directly affected in the incident, I lost no-one close to me, and I live in England, I feel a certain apathy for those who's lives were turned upside-down by the thoughtlessness of this attack. Only cowards attack civillians, especially when there is no war going on. My heart, soul and prayers are with you all. If we only learn one thing from this experience - let it be that war and violence never bring sollutions, only pain.

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9. For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10. The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. -Revelation 11, verse 7-10.

I fail to see the point myself: humanity is like cancer, a bunch of bacteria unrestricted in their growth, some will kill others in their quests for food, living space, and right to procreate; no matter how complex you make it, it will always come down to that, and I hence fail to see the point of appealing to a millenia old myth of a saviour, of whom their is no proof, and ever increasing skepticism. People have died, and people will always die, life is not something that is wasted; human beings like all other animals are driven by impulses, heeding in turn to the all encompasing goal of survival. If you sympathize with others for every life taken, you will only be repeating history - if humanity is to move on, we must overcome petty government divisions and greed, not mutter phrases to oneself as lunatics might.

may we lose no more to terrorism, and may we know that more deaths will not wipe the table clean, but instead stain its face with foreign blood. PEACE

.... Its amazing.. Its been so long since all of this has happened. And yet, its not. I dont really know what to say.. But know that I still cant find the words to express the events of that terrible terrible day.... Hate is a powerfull weapon. But remembering these events is even stronger....

i like the image quite a bit but some peoples comments on here are just dumb... who cares about what is happening now in iraq. this pic is art and its expressing the feelings of families and friends of the people that died, and shouldnt have. i dont think war or conflict is right, but we are humans and war and conflict is inevitable. peace is impossible. and i think its funny how this comment section on the artwork went from comments on the peice (which is really stunning) to people arguing. Venture, sometimes art doesnt have to have a point, although this does, even if you dont agree with it, just respect it for being beautiful and reflecting the feelings of millions. dont hate, appreciate. thanks OOh Betty, nicely done.

All too true Venture.....yet if the old testament god did exist, surely America would see it as a divine punishment, rather than an open slather on "capitalising on the event" as someone in the Bush administration said. Refeer..sometimes the art is secondary to the thoughts it provokes. We can't be blind to the impact of emotionally fueled symbols, especially when a portion of the population still RELY on this (almost extinct) mythos. We can only hope one day it becomes a fading memory....

I show no sympathy for those who died. Heh, I consider it a good thing in fact. It helps to neutralize population growth, which is a needed thing. Though i think if the image was merely centered around the towers, it would look nice. Oh well.

KidAmnesiac

12:37PM | Thu, 26 June 2003

Azael u sick fuck.... that ain't even remotely funny. although I agree with ur philosophy to a point venture, i think i is highly appropriate to mourn the loss of humanity. People with such views tend to change em pretty fast when the shit hits the fan for themselves rather than others. Even if emotions are just chemicals swilling around in our heads, they still exist, and have an important role in our lives. U can't deny evolution. My thoughts after seeing this image go to those that died during the attacks, their families , the soildiers and the iraqi civilians all caught up in this f*ckin mess.
