"It had been a hundred years since Suzette's murder when Vixens suddenly started disappearing from the Temple. Every now and then a girl would go to bed at night and simply not turn up for breakfast the following morning. Their rooms were untouched - their bedsheets turned down, their clothes still hanging neatly in their closets. They were just...gone. "First it was young Nancy, the cute Irish redhead. Then a week later Ming disappeared. Then three girls the week after that. Excitement and rumour swept the Temple. Where had the girls gone? And why? Some started to believe Lucistra had found her way back somehow, and was dragging the Vixens away in their sleep. I warned my guards to be doubly careful, but not to engage Lucistra if they saw her. The Temple still hadn't recovered fully from Suzette's murder, and the last thing any of us wanted was a slaughter. Sinistra, naturally, was beside herself with panic. "Then one night, while on my usual rounds, I saw flickering torchlight coming from the Grand Hall. I could hear hushed voices. I ducked into the shadows and edged along the wall as quietly as I could, moving closer to get a look at what was going on. Finally I reached the corner of the Grand Hall...and there they were. "Two Vixens stood on the staircase, talking excitedly with a figure dressed in a full suit of Arcanorian armour. I could not see the figure's face, but her movement was deliberate and graceful. Her armour was dazzlingly shiny, worn effortlessly over her body like a second skin. A huge sword hung from her back, seeming almost too cumbersome and heavy to wield, yet brimming with an aura of deadly power. She truly was an awe-inspiring sight. When I described her to my men the following morning, we dubbed her The Champion. "As I watched, she convinced the two Vixens to come with her and leave the Order forever. The Vixens were genuinely excited, as though the idea of freedom had never occurred to them before. Not wanting of bloodshed, and painfully aware of the fact that I was unarmed, I slipped back into the shadows and crept up to Sinistra's tower. "Sinistra was delighted by the news that we at last had an explanation for the disappearances. She was also extremely relieved that Lucistra was not involved. "But The Champion had to be dealt with, and Sinistra had a plan. It seemed Lucistra would play a part after all..."
