Description

Visitors from outside are always worth some attention. There strange appearance... and they actually move through such a hostile environment without any water... These may be some of the thoughts of this' planet's inhabitants. Actually they are the result of an illegal genetic experiment in the past. Shown to be intelligent as their genetic ancestors, they finally managed to get the right to found their own civilization. And are nowadays highly demanded experts for marine environments. When I had the idea for this picture, it was clear that I had to realize it - the opportunity was just too good to experiment with light in varying mediums. I've modelled the glased passage, and created new textures based on Eyecatcher's material for DACort's wonderful freebees. Hope you like the result, and thanks for stopping by! Gasp! Amazing detailism once again and the POV excellently chosen, too. I also love the way both species try to explore each other or say "hi". It reminds me of an experience I had in the Zoo many years ago when I was a little kid. I went to the house where the gorillas and orang-outangs lived. Their cages had thick acrylic glass windows instead of bars, which was quite new these days. And suddenly I found myself in the same situation with a young orang-outang like pictured in your image. It was a very touching moment which I'll never forget.

Many, many thanks to all of you for your kind and encouraging comments! rodluc2001: there is a weak gel set in this scene, but somehow it's erased in the inside part of the scenery. Don't ask me why :-)
