Description
The concept for this image was a simple one, but the result is pretty complex. I've been interested in furry/anthro art for at least 8 years, but hadn't done much recently. I got the urge to CG something, so I did this.
The wolf was drawn on ordinary copier paper with a #2 mechanical pencil, inked with a .25 felt tip pen and a big ol' fat RoseArt marker I found under my bed. Scanned it and colored it in The GIMP, using my hair brushes on the fur and headfur, and I painted the dress, only my second real attempt at postworking cloth. The background consists of the Classical Pool from DAZ, and a sky that took all of 10 minutes to construct and render in Bryce 5. A few minor touchups were done in The GIMP, like making the moon brighter and adding shadows cast by the figure.
I was pretty pleased with it, especially the cloth. My dad came about as close to being floored as anyone I know ever has. Usually my friends and family members aren't all that impressed with my work because they see it so dang often, but dad is always encouraging. ^_^
