Description
I'm starting to shade and texture the engine. I think it looks a little like cement...

Excellent model and terrific texturing. Its a shame to put this inside a cowling!

Nice work, but don't know what to suggest. Maybe a lot darker metal? Plus bluer?

I think, it looks very realistic, and sailor_ed is allright with his comment

Wow, it's a great modeling and texturing. Keep on doing your DR.I project. And I'm expecting your job.

As good as any model i've ever seen. Photo-real. I agree it's a shame to cover it. But then again, you ARE making what covers it too. We of little faith...:)))

Maybe some kind of reflection mapping? That might help, but that also depends on what kind of metal it is. Hmmm...

Hey this is looking great, very nice modeling job.I think the textures look fine too.

Amazing amount of detail here. Maybe you can put on a specular map to vary the amout of shine from different parts of the motor. It is soem amazing work and detail here. Miles of patience to get it this detailed.

Damn fine looking engine. Does the whole engine rotate like it does on the Nieuport fighter? VOTE

I think you have the cylinders rotated 180 degrees around their individual axes. The blanked off port below the attachment for the intake pipes is the exhaust port and needs to be on the opposite side maybe with a short stack. It begins to look like something buried in mud and brought back to fly again. Magic!!

This looks excellent. The only comment I would make is the texture you used on the outer cylinders looks too repetitive. If you can vary the texture or simply rotate the cylinders so we don't always view the texture from the same angle. Fantastic work.
