Description

[ layered fractals-UF 3.04 // border and lettering PP8 ] The reef, though beautiful, is a very dangerous place, especially for the very young and for the unborn. Here, a hermit crab (Fractilis Hermitis) prepares to dine on unguarded fish eggs carelessly perched on the outcropping below him. Hope you enjoy and thank you for your comments and support on my previous works. My best regards for a safe and fine Sunday, Rik (note:

Wonderful narrative to a most fantastic series. I really enjoy the colors you have chosen for your Fractilis Hermitis, hehe.....taking in the entire piece is really quite exciting, as the colors blend and contrast to give the viewer a genuine sense that they are observing nature at her finest. Super work Rik! (=

Hallo Rik, this is no "Crab" :-) but a superb marine life scenery. All the red colours are so well tuned and especially with the greens they work very well. Excellent job!

Once again, a beautiful "Reefer". Love those Julia-eggsies. And the crab looks really dangerous. Exquisite work, Rik

yes, i like the odd expressionless and passionless face on this crab - no intended malice, just the unyielding motion of a force of nature, which is part of the undying value of reef life - seeing and understanding nature - beautiful shades of red - excellent folding and edging gives this great depth

Perfect colors to convey the message the title implies. Beautiful in a strange and deep undersea way. Another excellent image in your series, Rik. Your sea creatures live, and your reefs move and are believable.
