Description

Thank you for your comments on this series Stained ice! I really enjoyed them. I thought yesterday's shot would be the last one but since many of you had questions about the size and place of this ice I decided to post this one, showing you about half the size of the area where I found all these miraculous ice-shapes (my wide-angle lens is with 28 mm not enough to get the entire site on one shot). The sun is shining but on these winter-days this site remains in the shadow of the mountains. Bert, my brother, wanted to pose on it and well, let's say I'm not the only silly one in the family ;) Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Cheater! I knew you couldn't resist posting another one! ;o) I'm glad you did, it is great to see where you took all those neat Stained Ice photos. It looks like there are quite a few photo ops there. Great capture.

Wow another one, what a treat!! Now I can see them to judge their size, so I'm glad Bert was in there too!!!!So very glad to see this shot and to think how wide the formation was! Fantastic! I just love snow and icicles and I have decided it must stem from a fantasy when I was a child reading 'The Snow Queen'!!
