Description
Something a little more relaxing.
Buck is from Daz. Some flowers and plants from free models on the internet, then textured by me. I did the trees and others in Bryce. Textures were made with my digital camera and Photoshop. Postwork done in Photoshop.

Very very beautiful ground work and the depth of the image is very very excellent. I dont know how U got that ground to look so alive, but it looks very beautiful. How U got them trees and ground to look so alive there melizod? It looks very nice. The light is quite owesome, and I just cant take my eyes off the tree textures and ground. Very very unique set. More then excellent work. I see a perfect image, maybe a larger one on your wall would be owesome. Very very nice work, excellent work. Congrats...

Wow, I think this is one of your most detailed pictures to date. My eye keeps being drawn to the knot in that tree and how realistic it looks. Excellent picture.

The way I get the ground to look this way is with several techniques combined. First of all, for textures I use real digital photos that I take into photoshop and make tileable (too much to go into in detail here). Then when I have a terrain I like, I texture it and then scale the texture accordingly. In the case of grass, I then rotate the X or Z axis to make the grass seem to stand up. This works sometimes and not others, just experiment. I then copy and paste the terrain in place and offset it slightly (down and over a couple pixels) and texture it with dirt so the slopes by the stream look worn and less grassy. Then in postwork, I sample the colors of the grass and paint more in so it covers tree roots and rocks patially, this really brings it to life. Not room for a tutorial here so I hope this answers your question.
