Rumours
I know I said I wouldn't post again (until I caught up on commenting) but this is a message that needs to be sent. Why is it that people need to bring others down to feel good about themselves, what gives them the right to criticise and belittle with out a thought to the consequences of what they say. Too many have left here because of them. If you have a beef about the content of the image take it private if it is a thought on how the image can be improved say it tactfully. I you plain just don't like it move on to the next one. If you think people are getting into the hot 20 on their friends votes stop whining and go and vote for ones you think should be there. These images, I believe, get there on merit as well and deserve to be there. Ok am getting off track a bit lol but these things seem to happen far too often and this is my soapbox time. We are here for the art and friendship if you don't like it go find another sandpit to play in

Have to agree with you there. It's why I don't chat that much, because I don't want one friend in one ear going on about the other and vise versa. I've seen the hot 20, and people there deserve to be there. I was there once LOL I about unhinged my bottom jaw it dropped so far..but you can bet.. I deserved to be there atleast that once S Sure people vote for their faves, but you don't get to be a fave unless you are good at something. BTW.. it's your soap box..so I'm just going to say this is beautiful..and HUGE HUGS

A is for Artist it is also for Arseholes Unfortunately some of the Arseholes seem to think they are Artists and some of the Artists make first class Arseholes. Too many people spend too much time kissing butt to get comments and votes and trying to get in the top 20. Ive been in the top 20 my life didnt change because of it. time some of these people joined the realworld or better still pissed off and left the rest of us to it. Excellent work Chris

I think it is normal for many people. Our society seems to make many people do that. I dont like this shit, too, and i was often the victim of untrue rumours. So i am tend to react very allergic to this and stay out of chats and other things. I like your image. :-)

Well Hell! LOL! i havent been on a hot twenty list. or an artist of the month. I dont get alot of comments, but the ones i do get. i cherish, and thank each and everyone for them. I do agree with what you say, if you like my work fine, if not, move on to the next! This is a great piece of work! as a matter of factly!! love the ambience that surrounds it. I am sorry if you are annoyed have a big hug from me :) Personally, I have lots of people on my favorites who never comment on my work, but I still comment on theirs. They are there because I like their art. If I dont like a persons work I just dont comment. But hey thats me. I comment when I have time and running psp lists doesnt give me much. Reckon something happened to someone once more. Geez folks just live and let live, to many people here are home bound for one reason or another and come here as a release they don't need critizium of there works, they need support an positive reinforcment, they doing the best they can. Treat folks as you want to be treated is what my mom taught me. Have a gooden Chris... oh yea, excellent job of setting the mood here.

Can i get on your soap box for a second.......some one didnt teach these people about respect,it is the most important of all social skills..and i feel when someone posts artwork it is thier best or the best they could do..and to beliitle someone that is trying to do there best is hurtful to say the least.O.K. i will get down now..Chris this is a very important message and a very beautiful portrait..

Well said and well executed! Bravo! I also have been in the top 20, but it required someone to let me know I did. I did not know of it's existence until then. I only look into the Top 20 very periodically, and only to find new artists that may spark my inspiration. Those artists that are so wrapped up in whether they get in the top 20 or not, and who deserve to be there are not; IMHO have lost the whole reason for doing ART! It should be done, because you enjoy doing it! All the other benefits, are simply vanity! :)

point well said bravo image a perfect portrail ... note when i get lots of views on my stuff it takes hours of foot work i just dont post i invite everyone and their spouses and pets and the pets spouses ..etc... and not becouse i want comments whitch by the by are wonderful but becouse i wrote somthin i want to share with everyone . something that might move entertain or enrapture some one if you arnt moved say la vie at least i did the work to invite you and you just go on poof the same with what i see if i am moved i tell them if im not i try to look at it astecticly like thats not my cup of tea but the way it comes togather is intresting read on and art on my friend
