the way you managed the light is really great and the expression is very interesting. The contrast between the black background gices this paint a nice balanced mood and colors.

The light brings to memory the works of masters such as Caravaggio. Interesting the way light can "sculpt" forms.

Anna this is exquisite... this is territory I'm glad you're revisiting, excellent chiaroscuro here. It's very pleasing indeed to my aesthetic sense. The warm colouring and particularly the composition give it a very "centred" feeling for me, particularly in the context of contemplative meditation to literally rediscover one's "inner light". Beautifully peaceful, I can imagine plenty of people coveting this work! Thanks for sharing it here :-)
