Description

"On the ocean that hollows the rocks where ye dwell, A shadowy land has appeared, as they tell; Men thought it a region of sunshine and rest, And they called it o'Brazil - the isle of the blest. From year unto year on the ocean's blue rim, The beautiful spectre showed lovely and dim; The golden clouds curtained the deep where it lay, And it looked like Eden, far away." ~Gerald Griffen~ Found this wonderful poetry to fit the image. In a land long ago and far away I played a character on this island. This was done for those who played with me, as well as a special and dear sister of the soul...Hugs Fata sis... Graphite on bristol, some post work in PSP, ie: Smudging, airbrushing etc... Enjoy... and to all who have taken the time to bless me with the lovely words of encouragement, may you all someday find your Hy-Brasil....

I love the colors in this one ! :) .... Done with a lot of feeling :) .. The poetry is very beautiful too ... and goes quite well with the picture :) .. Excellent Drawing :)

awwww thank you everyone, and corn it is nothing 'special' other than some minor airbrushing on the pic. It's mostly the black graphite pencil, then a great deal of 'smudging' in Paint Shop Pro followed by intensifying the colors via PSP and here she is... :)
