Description


Science in Action: The white dome on the far left is Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope which started operation sometimes in 1980. The silver done is called Gemini Observatory. From the ocean, you can plainly see these Observatory. But from up here, it seems like we can see the world. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

I wanted to go up there myself when I was out there recently but the lack of four wheel drive prevented that. Only got as high as the Visitor Center. Must have been a great view. Do you have a panoramic shot?

Super photo ops, eh? More yummy sci-fi goodness. Hah! This is the angle I've seen other photos taken of this on the NASA site. Your blows them away, so very sharp and detailed and the colors are great!

Wow!!!!!! What a totally impressive capture, Errol!!!!! It's an incredible view and I'm in love with that sky!!!!! I could stare for hours!!!! the observatory on the right almost looks like mother-of-pearl or even a bit irridescent. fabulous architecture!!! High 5's for this amazing capture!!!! Vote!!

Nice shot sharky. That Canada-France-Hawaii dome is the one I worked in for a bit. How did you do with the lack of oxygen up there? Some guys handle it pretty well and others just get sicker'n a dog. I was OK but just barely.
