This got me reminiscing and speculating on winter wonders, leading to the present image. For the first two decades of my life, I lived in New England where I saw and dealt with the beauty of falling snow blanketing the bitter winter landscape with a bright and beautiful coat, as well as with the harsh realities of living with the consequences of the less desirable properties of frozen water. Since leaving New England, I have experienced directly less snow in the rest of my life than I did in the first few years of my life . . . and that has been just fine by me. I much prefer to look at it (real or

We had ice-flowers on our car-window this morning. Real, beautiful ice-flowers. Hadn't seen them this beautiful for years. They used to grow on the inside of the bedroomwindow when I was young. Luckily, that doesn't happen anymore. I don't much like cold, but I like the clear wintercolours and the white beauty that is snow and frosted fog. Like this image too. Well done, Rik.

Wonderful winter piece Rik! I do agree the winter is lovely to look at and it is romantic up north here through the holidays...till about today and then you can have it!...at least it is staying lighter later...that's a real plus...more snow in the forcast...

Looks like the frosty's on the windows up where I live in Pennsylvania. I want to move someplace warmer, I'm tired of the cold. Excellent, Rik!

You know, five years ago I left Florida to move to New Hampshire on purpose. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really crazy or what! Great wintry landscape, it's just what it looks like around here. At least I think so, my eyes have mostly been frozen shut lately! Excellent!

Wonderful wintry image, Rik. I'll take the Oregon rain over the Pennsylvania snow I grew up with any day. I've never missed Winter.
