Description

( Ultrafractal 3.04 with border and lettering in Picture Publisher 8 ) Yesterday, in an amazing scientific find, archeologists uncovered evidence of pre-Mayan culture in Central America. Five miles Northwest of the deserted village of Quetzlchuctl, deep underground in a cavern carved out by the fluctuating flow of a nearby river, archeologists Bertram Banali and Hiram Pedantic of the Nova Scotia Institute of Cultural Relics, Archeology & Philosophy uncovered rare crypt paintings left by a civilization believed to pre-date that of the Mayans. Above is a photograph released by them and showing a partial image of these paintings which cover most of the expanse of the cavern and seem to depict ancient warrior gods in battle scenes with mythic beasts. Said Dr. Banali,

You dont have to chew those leaves to get into the right mood for partying ,those colors alone are enough to make you high ......fantastic . I think I deteced a painting of Querzalcoatl on the wall ,it`s got a snakes head and feathers as well .Very interesting place you got there Rik.

Are you sharing those mushrooms, Rik? lol Just kidding! What an interesting story to go with this VERY Mayan-looking painting!! One could get lost in the twists and turns in this image!! Maybe even fall through! Great lighting/shading, combined with the perfect gradient, makes this jump right off the page at you! Excellent, my friend!! V

this is a lovely painting - i think of slime moulds - part of the dynamic life of the forest floor - so much can happen with leaf litter - and sometimes there are glowing surprises - lovely sense of rippling motion (like the reefers) but lush with decay (if that makes sense) which, is the promise of new life

Hi Rik, This is a unique and striking image you have created here! Bold, brilliant gradient! I love the depth and dimensionality! It feels like you are being drawn into the image! A most excellent and whimsical 'news release'! You know, if they had checked their Mayan Calender Stone, they would have known they were too late to find anything! ;~) Leanndra

Agree with avalonfaayre - try it with 3D glasses.(Don't bother with the mushrooms!) The pigments take on metallic hues. Wonderful! Loved the story too!
