Description

A paladin has defeated a red dragon. This image started as an experiment. In fact, I had never drawn a knight or a dragon before. So I created some sketches and I started adding detail to these lines. This image required a lot of time and effort, but I hope that the result was worth. Made from scratch using Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. Thanks to M.N.D. for helping me sketching the paladin's face. I will appreciate your suggestions and comments. Thanks for viewing! :-D Enrique.

Wooh.. yes this was really worth your hard work. That shiny armour looks fantastic (did you use any matal references to do that so well), and that poor dragon lying there .. fantastic job :-)

Thanks! :-) This is how I achieved that metallic effect: I created a layer in Multiply mode, and filled it with 30% gray. Then I started creating deep shadows and shiny lightning effects with the dodge and burn tools. After the shadowing process was completed, I duplicated that layer and changed the blending mode of the new layer to Vivid Light. That's a simple way of creating a realistic metal effect! ;-)
