Description

This title needs some explanation. It's kind of a long story so sit back and take your time. I like movies (no horror please). And one movie I would like to recommend if you haven't seen it yet is "Sliding doors" with Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah. There's a scene where she asks him if he was ever hurt in love. And he admits being left for Gary Glitter when he was about 6 years old. All of his friends were left for David Cassidy, but not his girlfriend. She had the hots for Gary Glitter! I was a teen in the seventies and I remember Gary Glitter vividly (and David Cassidy for that matter) so this was a fun scene for me. Now "glitter" is used in the Dutch language too, and everytime we use it the connection is made to Gary Glitter. And that is exactly what happened yesterday. I was trying to make a colourful spiral and my daugther was sitting next to me. When I added a layer that caused white, sparkling, lines she said: "Nice glitter". Automatically, we both quoted from the movie and there he was again: flippin' Gary Glitter. So that's how this image got his name. I didn't change it anymore. We had a good laugh about it. Have a safe week! Yvonne
