Description

WW2 Airplane - PZL p11 This bird took me about a week (during evenings) to complete. Half of the time was spent on texturing and a couple of hours on optimizing the mesh and making it avaialble for download for our friends in the bryce community. Texturing was made using UV-mapper. Views from all angles and a pic of the mesh available here: http://www.colacola.se/expo_pzl.htm Hope you like it.

Thanks for the wonderful airplane. I love your render. I cannot seem to get Bryce to render the wires as crisply as you have done in C4D. The scarf is a great touch.

The wild scarf in the wind of WW-I has remained in this out classed relic of the thirties. Just as Poles fought German tanks with cavalry on horses the gallantry was futile. Only a few years here separated the births but the result was not with the reactionaries.

mad stuff here...i really like the impression of speed, and the subtle smoke effects.

tallpindo... Dont forget that cavalry was equipped with anti-armour cannons :P [Its not a joke!] Anyway, the difference in arm was horrible. P.11 was introduced in 1934 and was 3 generations older than most German fighters. It was an excellent plane in its time... really nice to see its model here. Im afraid I will grumble a bit :) The shape of the tail-plane is wrong and the wing didnt come over the fuselage. There were only 2 guns in the wings; the rest was mounted in the fuselage. The identification signs on the wings were smaller and non-symmetrically placed [probably for German pilots, to confuse them:] Etc, etc... Unfortunately there is a Pole here who was interested in planes once upon a time... Great job... By the way: P.11c must be a nice object to model, it has all plates bent from flat sheets of metal, no HyperNURBS:] You did more than necessary with that central part of the wings, it`s intersection was straight like in the "M" letter.

I don't think Silgrin would have bothered picking you up on those points, if you hadn't done a very worthy job of it! :0) With your fine modelling skills, research and accuracy is time well spent I think. He is right btw. :0/ (In my youth I was a WW2 geek). Many thanks for making a good likeness of this rare machine, and making it available to us military history freaks. Very nice to see such a worthy effort! More please?
