Description

Via a long way about we arrive on Baraque Michel (674 m, 2211 ft), one of the highest points of Belgium, in the Hautes Fagnes (High Fens). We are just in time to watch the setting sun over the frozen fens. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Looks like really tough terrain to walk across. Riding one of those Swiss bikes with a rifle slung would be even tougher. The crunch of the snowpack finds no echos in this open meadow. It is more of a "scrush."

crunch crunch crunch and splat Gotcha!!!! LOL! couldn't resist an opportunity like that, Jan-Carel! :) That bright sunlight looks like an opening to another world, and that straw under the snow seems almost "alien-like". i see a field of alien "creepy-crawlies" marching across the field. Oh no...we're being invaded!!!!!!!!! Has THC been notified??? LOL! Seriously, it's a beautiful "wonderland" that i find magical and delightful!! It's such a joyous image with all that light that i just can't help but to have fun and run through the snow. hmmm...i'd better be careful! don't wanna end up with another broken bone!! :) :)

Nice shot, Jan-Carel. Lighting and timimg, as usual, is 'spot on'. However I would not like to do much tramping over that frozen fen. Too much like hard work. It is bad enough in a blizzard, but this is too uneven underfoot. Regards, John.

Not sure what to say about this photograph. I like the snow but I don't like the sun shining into the camera lenses.. It seems overexposed to me..
