Description

this is one of the stops on the way home from that trip out west. I forgot the name but a long time ago a big metero hit the earth and made this one mile hole in the earth. All around the area it flat land then you come upon this one mile wide hole lol. My son was 18 at the time and he wish to go to some park in Cal. by himself. But I went with him. We stop at a lot of places for he was going to be one of those people that study the rocks and earth. can you see that no rocks around here but on the road they bring in from other places. But that him and I wish to support him. I always wish to do that to but never happened. I even thought of cutting rocks thin as tile and selling them to be instill as tile in the bathroom. I thought that be cool. Lol you know when I looked over that hole I say "that can not be a mile wide; it do not look like it" I use to sea level and up there ther no water in the air. So that mess my looking at distures up. thanks for looking and commenting and votes.

Wow! I never got to go see this meteor crater when I lived in Flagstaff, it would be a cool lake if it were filled with water, lol! It is very desolate out there. I have driven through that area before. Really nice photo Jocko! Thanks for sharing it! :) V

This is a wonderful photographic memory, Jock... thank you so much for sharing it with us! We tell people that our pool was created by a meteor... but most folks around here think we're talking about a Ford... lol!! Excellent imagery, my friend!! :)

It wasn't from Perseid, Leonid or Drako. What a bang when it hit. Your son just adds it to his life.
