Description

Lilly pillys Palm fruit Eucalyptus blooms Eastern Rosella tail sitting on paperbark. ~*@*~ I really needed something to brighten this drab room and being so inspired by the startling pink Lilly pillys that are abundantly fruiting this summer, I created this. Watercolour on canvas, the original is three by five feet, one of the biggest I've completed in this media. ~*@*~ Thank you for viewing and your feedback is always appreciated. :)

More mouthwateringly juicy than the real thing! That's the feeling I often have from your work, this sense of heightened realism that the very best artists achieve. Oh! Got your chatty mail btw, and will reply in due course. I guess you know, Jim is in Ireland for a grungey music excursion. Miew meanwhile is in gardening high spirits. Life is beautiful, isn't it? ;-)

Here I sit and stare this master piece! Your extremely sophisticates painting techniques make those fruit so alive. being sensed with all senses. I'm sure this painting could give light to a darkest room - it's radiating! Just brilliant work. Thanks Cassie! hugs

That really will brighten up anyone's room! Such beautiful pinks must be quite a sight to see if they are fruiting in such abundance as you say, they are so gorgeous I can almost smell them, and that's saying something as I have no idea what they should smell like! Thank you for sharing it with us. hugs

I do believe Nigel is right, this is as synaesthetic as many of your works, it's very tactile and the rendering is superb as always. Also to me it has this cosy feel, as if it's an enclosed space enriched with a warm luxuriant light. It has a very positive feel to me my friend, as always thank you for sharing your talent HUGS :-)
