Description

Im currently on a long holiday at the moment (just over 4 months), I haven't been able to upload any of the photos I've taken. Well that was until today, I managed to find a computer with a USB connection. =) I will be posting the rest of the Northern Territory series as soon as it's possible. Also I'm not using my home computer, so if there is any colour cast, satuaration issues on this photo can you let me know and I'll try and calibriate the monitor on the computer I'm using. This photo was taken at Berry Springs Nature Reserve in the Northern Territory (Australia). I was on a Monsoonal Walkway when I sighted this, it was a overcast day but the sun was shining so perfectly on this scene. Sorry to all the nature lovers, I'm not sure what species of plant this is. EOS 300D, F2.8, 70 - 200mm EF IS Canon Zoom. Thanks for viewing, comments appriciated.

What a beautiful photo. The blurred background adds the perfect contrast.

Marvelous macro composition, magnificent use of depth-of-field to isolate subject; colour is perfect and well saturated. Bravo, well done! V

Lucky you on holidays!! Some kind of Spinifex grass?? I have no idea, but your postwork makes the ordinary extraordinary...unless there is no postwork and this background was achieved solely by DOF. Either way V. Incredibly sharp and clear macro. =)

Makes me think some representant of the lily-family (onion or so). But name or no name, this is terrific in exuberant green! Excellent work!
