Description

These birds grow to about 35 - 45 cm. A medium sized owl with 2 distinctive calls, one a dog like bark 'wook wook' and another like a wavering human scream. Being a nocturnal bird it's more often heard than seen. This one was captured at the Territory Wildlife Park in the Northern Territory.
