Description

Ultrafractal 3.02 --- Apophysis 2b17 Well I keep talking about a new, more abstract, "fractal" phase and so here goes.... Panny Brawley (pannyhb) and I were passing a upr she'd started back and forth last week seeing if we could get it to "behave itself". In the course of all the tweaking, as is usual with me, I totally lost sight of what we were trying to do and mangled the image beyond recognition - She says it has a swampy, "Amos Moses" vibe - lol. Anyhow, since it was so different from what we'd started with and really only retained a single, modified layer from the original, she was nice enough to let me keep what I'd done! This one and the next one I post in a few days, after it tells me what it's name is, both came from the inspiration I got from her start. Thanks a BUNCH, Panny - you're THE BEST! Thanks VERY much for all of the encouragement and support y'all have given me with your wonderful comments and votes - its what keeps me going! And, as ever, thanks for stopping by! Rick

There are so many details in this to look at! I love the delicate lacy structures, and the sorta pixilated squares, not to even mention the red/orange pincer thingy! Ok, I have no words for these things, but they are fascinating :)

That is just amazing--I never would have guessed it was a fractal, I thought it was a surreal painting, maybe in oils. I have to vote for this one, it is truly unique!

I saw a lobster at the bottom too swimming in some sort of surreal world. Fitting title. I like the colors a lot! Awesome work!

Well, I don't know, but my first impression was this looks like what's going on inside an amplifier when some really cool music is winding around. It's a lovely flow, and the colors are nice, and the texturing is wood-like in places. Cool piece Rick. I'm going for it! V (:

I saw a lobster as well, perhaps one that had an encounter with an underwater steamroller. It seems to fit in with the title, the see through layers of sea and atmosphere are shining brightly making a most delicious looking fractal!

I like this very much and believe your on to something. If you experimented with different translucency, it would be interesting to see your results on this image.

I am delighted to see you heading in this direction. The "technical" stuff (not that this isn't technical) is popular but this is where you build art. Keep it going. Even if you only end up with 40 comments, pay no heed. This direction will take you to the next level. Hey, what's this about working with Panny? I'm jealous ;)

Glass Onion! Part of the fun of fractals is in the naming. I look forward to your abstracts and the names you give them. This is a beautiful beginning.

It's love your way to describe the story about the images. I think it's very nice, and, of course, the image too. But before to see it, I have dressed my sunglasses. ;-)
