Description

Main planet: Terragen render: Labyrintus Noctus Martian terrain Small planet/moon: Created in photoshop (about 10 layers) Starfield: Created in photoshop (about 15 layers) This a rework of a different space render I did awhile back and is my first attempt at painting my own starfield and moon in photoshop...so please offer any suggestions you have! I used a tutorial for each that I found on Greg Martin's website. Let me know how I'm doing here...I want to get better! Thanks for stopping by! --Mike

Awsome space scene Mike! I love it. The stas may be a take too clustered, but it doesn't detract. Nice to see you posting again! V

I think it looks cool...love space images and this one is great!!! The stars have different sizes but I think too many have the same exact size and don't look random enough...the nebulas and colors around the stars are super...also love the moon and camera refraction effects!!

Michael, this is another one of your best works; and, a work to be proud of. With all of the space events that have occured in the recent past; and, that are coming up in the near future makes this picture very apropos.

Nice one Mike! Greg Martin's Tutorials are pretty good to. I really like the planet! and the Star Colors are cool. Just a personal taste thing in that IMHO there are to many lights, sometimes Less is More. Still it's cool to see you had fun!

The Labyrintus Noctus Martian terrain is lovely - but I don't know why nobody adds some detail in Worldmachin, etc. to it. The moon looks very good, the starfield is not my taste, it is overdone - maybe a total opacity of 38% would do it good.

One heck of a fine scene, that terrain and its surfaces are outstanding!! I remember my first time out in the desert in west texas first time I went outside at night, I darn near had a fit the stars looks so close.

This shows to me why Terragen is so cool. With every render we have somewhere new to explore. Love the lighting and light effects.
