Description

Lying down on the ice an entirely new perspective reveals itself. Even in the Netherlands we have ... mountains! Temporarily, but that won't take away the joy! The texture of the ice-surface attracted my attention; it's like little frozen waves. In macro-world everything gets another unexpected beauty. It's like learning to know people better; even the ugliest people show beauties not seen by the crowd. :) I hope you enjoyed this series of ice on the Rhine! Thank you for thinking about the questions I posed and your wonderful comments, or just your joy and leaving them uncommented! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 70 mm & slightly rotated & cropped) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Great perspective...I know you got a chilly belly on this one. :) Everything you say is spot on, on this is a magickal crystal mountain on a frozen see that glitters like the stars in the morning sun. Way to look at the world from a unique perspective!

Ah, you have uncovered the secret, Jan_Carel, even at the cost of getting cold doing so. This is how they are smuggling the contraband diamonds into the heart of Europe. Cunningly disguised as 'ice. I shall inform Interpol! :) Regards, John.
