You can recognize a faint repetitive pattern on the hills in the background. Up close, however it doesn't show. I don't do overlays (and probably wouldn't do them any better if I did, anyway!) Overall a great job of texturing + layers! I'm exited too! =o

Nice experiment Steve ! Just love that water ! The terrain is also excellent with that overlay....looks a bit like shallow craters....or is the pattern on the terrain itself ? In any event this is a wonderful image...excellent job !

The foreground shore and water are amazing...the island to the left is a bit sharp edged...I don't see the repetition that Rich2 talks about but, as I age my eyes get worse and worse. Maybe thats why I over sharpen, color and contrast my images :)...A very cool render...can't wait for more "experiments"
