Description

A change of pace from the desert :-), This is one of my old 4 x 5 ektachromes that a collegue scanned rather poorly for me at a whopping 72 dpi so I am quite disappointed with the results, barely adequate - this image is memorable for me as it took more than an hour to take as there are approximately 10 people in this image. For one magical moment they all stepped behind something and vanished. At 16 x 20 little bits of peculiar colour can be seen through some bushes :-) Camera was a 4 x 5 view, lense 135mm Astragon, exposure 1/4 sec at f32 Tommorrow it will be back to the desert :-), but, with a well advised change suggested by Egmont whom I thank enormously! Once again, Thank you all for taking your time to view my artistic scribblings. Your comments and suggestions are not only deeply appriciated but valued highly.

Wow. The colors are outstanding. The bridge seems to be jumping out of the picture.

It's great at 72 dpi ... and it's a very beautiful image. Whenever I'm in a place such as this, I snap the picture with the people in it because that is what I find interesting; people interacting with nature. However, I appreciate what you wanted to accomplish too. :)

Congratulations! The contrast between the peaceful green and the bridge's red achieves a great effect.

It is truely amazing when one of those moments happens where the world simply seems to fall into place for a piece of art. This photo is truely one of those moments. The composition is fabulous and the placement of the camera really lends to the flow of the garden's lay-out. the inclusion of both foreground and background elements and the patients to get both in with the subject matter paid off well. Many kudos on this one.

Nice to hear the story behind this... What a beautiful spot. It is amazing all the magical places on Earth, most never even glimpsed by more than a few people. Excellent shot.
