Description

- Scotland, Glen Affric - At the end of the path along the creek I could hear the noisy rush of the fall from far. It was a high viewpoint and I was very impressed by all the rocks covered by white lichens you can see only a small cutout. Because of the danger to fall down they had build a high fence around. And at the places I could have shot through the fence the trees were hiding the fall! ;o( So I tried to lean out wide over the fence to get at least a small view onto the water. You are always welcome and I love to read all your sunny comments. Wish you a perfect sunday! ;o)

The intrepid photographer risks life and limb to get the perfect shot; and she succeeds with a wonderful richness of variety colour.

I guess the fences are necessary to keep us safe, but they do ruin a lot of good shots! You've done a great job here - there's so much to view in even a small cutout. Nicely done!

Peek-a-boo. It's still a heck of a shot. Ya big sissy... why didn't you get in a raft and go over the falls... just think what a great shot that would be :)

Wild but beautiful shot, Rita. It is nice that you took the risk. It is nicer that you can still show us the photo. Forget the raft. I did that years ago, in a wet suit, construction helmet and everything. It is cold, wet, and you get bruised. You risk breaking a limb, or ribs, or worse. It was exciting, but I would not do it now. We had to carry the raft over some of the rocks. At one point I was in over my head and carrying the raft. At the other end of the raft my friend was only up to his waist in the water We reached the end of the race, but many other rafts fell apart. Regards, John.

Just love the lighting and the contrasting colours as always a perfect exposure, the lichens on the rock give a wonderful texture
