Description
Thanks for all the great feedback on Saturday's photo, Gumbo Limbo. There are lots of these tree down here so if I'll keep my eyes open for another interesting shot. :o)
Here is a photo from when I was on a boat in central FL puttering down some canals late afternoon. The trees grew over the water creating some interesting lighting conditions. A little black duck was swimming ahead of us and I snapped this shot. I thought the ripples it created in the water and the pervasive greenish lighting looked kind of neat.
I'm moving my home office to a new room so may have to dig in my archives for pictures for a while. My old office is now my daughter's room. :o]
I'm not a fisherman, but I thought the article below has some good related information about Florida's canals.

FLORIDA'S OVERLOOKED WATERS
Two Opportunities in the Sunshine State That Quietly Produce Outstanding Bass Fishing
By Larry Larsen
Have you ever arrived at the boat ramp on your favorite lake to find hundreds of rigs lined up to launch? It is obviously many other anglers' favorite waters as well.

around here people say "slicker than scum on a Louisianna bayou". I see you have alot down there in Florida also. excellent capture and you did not find any crocs? Luckily they did not find you. the lighting is quite eerie-superb work

It was the movement in the water that caught my eye on this shot. I think that you actually have two images here. From the center on down and cropped a little from the left, we have an abstract of just the water patterns. Thealmost void of colour is also an interesting element here, as I would focus upon the time of day of this image. The overhanging branches fram the picture nicely. v

great picture - esp the overall colour and the resultant feeling of the overwhelming fertility of the place.
