Description

*I'm a portionless princess, you said but when I want I can be so cute... Don't be this mean, I'll never gonna be your tasteless portrait of a popsy-wopsy having her rippin good time like this... You said, you say... You never talk with me, just with my imagine flat: I feel like a porcelaine doll, so cute, so mute, while you put me on that rightful dress, and choose me rigid espaces and gift me with only stress. I'm in a corner, protecting me from your dust and my lips and nails want your blood to finally feel a sense in this kind of life... Your porcelaine doll you've hurt too much, yes, this puppet blonde's got a flaming darker side... I'm in a corner, not out of grace, I'm searching gates to put myself into sweet and risky games. Beware, up there, I'm not down to you... You think I'm belonging, but if any, well I don't to you.* --------------------- Photoshop, half an hour work. Source Pic Here. Yes, it's me with black wig.Picture taken with Nikon Zeiss, dusted film original from natural developing. ---------------------- Keep going on with my old 96/98 Poems, the image for this one might have suited also the February theme, Colour Language and that's why I did include it in. My study of colour focuses on the language of white, red and black. The effect is meant to be strong and flashy, without vibes of just glam, but with a sense of anguish and icy-cold pain extruding by the composition and colour interaction. An impression of tension in stasys, thanx to red magenta tone, that should symbolize the part of the poem that sound battling and fierce, while black and white give the drama of opposite balancing. Let me know what the colour scheme suggests to your interpretation, too. Ops... I was about to forgetting apologies cos I reckon I have been vacant again... snow in Italy, travel in Florence AND updating my site (that is done finally!) took me a certain time away *sigh*...But I'll watch your art I have left behind now, don't worry :) Hugs, Meli :)

Very effective selection of colors. I would go with maybe a little more posterizing of the colors for added effect. I think it might have been even more compelling in your natural hair color. Nice piece of work. -j

Very compelling!!! You look great here and the poetry is sexy and painful at the same time. Sometimes that's a good thing. It works here. Brilliant presentation!!!

Very intense artwork Meli! The contrast between the black and white definately evokes strong emotions. The poem really makes this even that much more dramatic as well. Sad and very though provoking. Always stimulating the mind with your art.

Expressive words, and just enough red to suggest a little rage! To whom it's aimed - Take Heed! Women, like any wild animal, should never be made to feel cornered! Good to see you finding time for your art Meli! Bravo & Hugs!

Striking use of colour & tone really brings out the feeling of the body language & captures the nature of your words well, nice one for the theme Meli ; )

Such white space challenges me to define and defy it visually and verbally. After the initial shock I briefly touch the murkiness of the redness. The scheme is bold and blaring. I feel that the porcelain doll has fallen off the shelf and cracked, a precursor for long awaited dispute.

Nice minimalist approach Meli, with more than a hint of irony as it points to the person beneath the porcelain... also your typography is neutral enough to not be competing too much with the contrasting detail of the background. Lovely... also to see a new post from you ;-) HUGS
