Description

- Scotland, Glen Affric - Impression of a dead tree. Dying, but strong and proud... because not alone. Life around is comforting and stroking its sadness. I be grateful for your interest and all written words. ;o)

Very cool. I like the texture a lot. Although it seems as if it was achieved by oversharpening it looks very good. I never would have tried it like that.

This is truly a lovely shot and beautiful words. I love sharky's words too. We all see different things here. But very powerful image. Well done.

Death in nature means waiting until the fall will come and others will take your place! New life will keep the balance with that what dies. In life we can lose things, people, and that emptiness will be filled with other things, other people. Life is dynamic. And we need to give it way in our own lives. Pain and joy in 'harmony'! Very thought-provoking, Rita!

exquisitely beautiful image, Rita! so rich and lush...and funny, i don't see that tree as dying...just transforming. and in its transformation, there is much comfort surrounding it. well...i have weird ideas about things....

A great POV, and capture, Rita. This is a joyful photo, not sad, which it might have been if you had zoomed in only on the tree. Its thriving neighbours remind us that life is shared with everyone, in our community, and that 'no man is an island'. I also noticed another 'dead' tree over to the right, next to the frame, in your 'River Affric' shot. Was this the same tree? Regards, John.
