Description

The terrain is Mount Baldy...apparently in Arizona ...an area that is absolutely awesome for anyone with a taste for glorious landscapes. This was mainly an exercise in atmo and mood. I rarely use the 3D cloud option since it is difficult to control and get good results but here it seems to have worked better...or so I think at least ! The cloud cover is just a few hundred meters above the Mount and the thickness was set low at 3 and density contrast also quite low at 16. Hope you enjoy this image and the mood it gives. I thank you for viewing and commenting. Merci de visiter et commenter !

Ah, the glowing embers. 3D clouds have rarely been done better. The colors, atmo and lighting are perfect. Great accomplishment, Bravo!

Sweet mood ; very nice picture. Just this horizontal line (the lower limit of the sky) that could be hidden behind the mountains.

Yes, Mount Baldy is the highest peak in northeastern Arizona; and, so called because no trees and little vegetation grow near the top because of the high elevation. The early explorer Coronado spent some time in this area. Beautiful picture Paul. Based on this sunset; I would say we are looking at the mountain from the north. Your 3D clouds are very, very good. Excellent picture!
