Description

Software: HDR Shop, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop This is a model that I made today. It's 100% modeled off of my mother's watch. I made it mostly because I loved how it did caustics (of which, are also captured in the render). So I decided to model it. Took me about 2 hours. The scene is lit 100% with HDRI and has a single point light as a photon emitter for caustics. I got the HDRI pic from this: http://www.realtexture.com/hdri1.htm I used the "German Kitchen, On a board" HDRI from Vol. 1. I modeled with Maya, rendered with mental ray final gather (of which I learned how to use it a little better from Jozvex's final gather tut (I learned how to make final gather rays go through glass...THANKS J!) I color corrected the rendered pic in Photoshop. Hope you guys like. :D

WOW. Talk about realistic ;). Impressive work. I can't imagine one could model something that detailed so quick. I just love this work. Congrats.
