All right, you long-time Terragen Community members - Where are you? We need help here! Well, Pete - You have a striking contrast of the stark white and deep green - hint: put a little red in your green colors. Use surface layers - LOTS of them! Looks like you did some serious thought on the sky!

This certainly is good for a first ! Rich's comment is great that you need some red in your green which will throw it towards olive a bit...more realistic. Careful on the bump ! Help is on the way in the form of a tutorial that I am preparing with help from Choronr (Bob). Hope to have it done in 2-3 weeks ! In the meantime just ask questions and do not hesitate to request support...most of us are very cooperative ! Visit the sites dedicated to Terragen... Terranuts is a good start !

Nice rocky surface; perhaps too brightly lit or oversharp; I agree with Rich2 about adding more layers - vary the green (grass green - dark green with a little red; patchy yellow-green; patchy bumpier, but not too bumpy, dark green etc.)

The sunlight that's hitting that mountain in the background is WAY too bright IMHO and it does'nt have any color in it; Sunset colors are warm red and orange colors while morning (sunrise) colors are harsh shades of yellow; go to my gallery and check out "Bright angel christmas".
