Description

A long unlighted tunnel leads the road further. It's cold here and walking through this tunnel the light fades. It takes some time before our eyes have adapted to the absence of light and suddenly we discover long icicles here. Difficult to shoot them without flash. So I put my camera on a tripod and exposed these icicles about 10 seconds. They are still faint but the light at the end of the tunnel gives some reflections in it. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Be careful, they look like they can fall any second. Excellent. Aloha

That is truly fantastic. Very abstract to say the least, thanks for explaining what it was, LOL. Have a great sunday #:o)

Steely daggers, the dank mood cannot overcome the interest in the lights play.

like it and appreicate the difficulty of exposing the icicles in this shot.. youve captured the hidden treasures superbly :)

funny, for someone who doesn't care for abstract images, you sure do take a lot of them, jan-carel!!!!!! :) i think you like them more than you realize!!!! Very cool! Those icicles look like fireworks to me...you know...how when they start to fall to the ground! How innovative and experimental of you to do this, Dr. Vierbergen!!! Children, do NOT attempt to do this at home!!! It is HIGHLY dangerous!!!!! shooting in the dark should ONLY be done by professionals!!!! LOL! I'm sorry...don't know what's getting into me. i see fireworks, and i become nuts!!!! Excellent abstraction!!!

Technically very difficult to take a shot in the dark but you managed to do it very well.
