Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Beautiful catch and very creative composition, the perspective makes this almost appear a mountain - wonderful texture. Well done!

The little hill morphs and becomes a breast, the tinkle of laughter in a ski lodge signals that folks are up for breakfast. Still back at the little snowhill the light meter shows the desired exposure. A hand over the forehead scans the sky to decide on ambient or backlit angles. A quick check of the ASA and a choice of shutter speed with comparison to the little page of folded instructions that came with the film and the picture is taken. It looks just like what it is now. A work of art.

It reminds me when I was a little boy, dreaming that I was as small as an ant. I would have loved to ski down this hill!

Very interesting how the wind created this little hill. It does look like a perky little teat, ...heheh. Art imitates life. Narnia, here I come! (opens wardrobe and dissappears)
