Description

This old flask deep inside a Shropshire (UK) lead mine is one of my favourite underground artefacts, it's a lovely blue enamel, about 8 inches (20cm) high and dates from at least the 1920s.
There is still liquid inside, but when you pull the cork out what ever the liquid is inside, it has formed a 'crust' that keeps it sealed.
I keep revisiting it, and plan to take my digital camera down there soon to get a better shot of it.

It looks like a fat elf is printed on the flask. Neat.
